No-Bake Chocolate Oat Balls

These oat balls are my current obsession! If you’re a chocolate lover like myself or have a sweet tooth – these are perfect for you! I like to make a batch of them early in the week for easy snacking or to grab on-the-go when I’m running short on time.


They’re so delicious and full of fiber and protein to keep you feeling full and satisfied. Good news is, you only need 5 simple ingredients, and most of them you’ll already have lying around the house!


  1. 2c Blended Oats

  2. 1/2 C Protein of your choice (I used flaxseed protein powder)

  3. 3 TBSP Cocoa Powder

  4. 15-20 Medjool Dates

  5. 3 TBSP Maple Syrup

  6. 1 TBSP Melted Coconut Oil


Soak the dates in warm water for 30 minutes before beginning. When the dates are almost done soaking, begin to blend the oats. Measure out 2 cups of oats, then blend and pour into a large mixing bowl. Add the protein powder and cocoa powder and whisk together.


Add the dates to the blender, along with some of the water that you used to soak them in (the water has tons of nutrients you don’t want to miss out on!). Add the maple syrup and melted coconut oil and blend. You may need to add a little extra water to the mixture, but overall it should be fairly thick.


Add the date mixture to the dry ingredients in the large mixing bowl. It should form one large “dough-like” ball. Roll small, bite-sized balls and place on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 1 hour and enjoy! Store the balls in a container in the fridge.
