Hi, I'm Dana!

I’m a hockey wife and mom to a sweet 1-year-old boy named Harvey.

 

I have a passion for helping women feel confident and comfortable in their own skin no matter what stage of life they might be in.

 

As women, we often put the needs of our family and loved ones in front of our own. Life gets busy and our priorities are constantly changing! This is part of the reason why I create at-home workouts for women, so when life gets busy we can still find a way to move our bodies and work towards our goals.

My story

I grew up in a small town about an hour west of Chicago. When I graduated college, I moved to Duluth, Minnesota for my first out-of-college job as an on-camera morning meteorologist. While I loved this career, I also met a guy who I loved even more. Before I knew it, my dog Rhett and I were on a plane and moving overseas to Bolzano, Italy to start a new life with my hockey-playing boyfriend!

 

It was while I was living there that everything kind of “clicked.” I’ve always loved health and fitness and spent much of my free time running or working out in the gym. Since I knew I wasn’t going to be returning to my career in Meteorology anytime soon, I thought it was time to start an entirely new path. I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in July of 2018, right around the same time I found out I was pregnant with our son, Harvey!

 

It was at this moment that I realized I didn’t know much about how to properly train pregnant women or help women recover postpartum. I wanted to know more about the specifics of working out while pregnant, the do’s and don’ts, how to get my body ready for the big day, and how to properly recover while postpartum. So I continued my studies and later received a Pregnancy Fitness Certification, and am now a Prenatal & Postnatal Specialist.

 

Wherever you are in your journey, please know that I’ve been there. I’ve felt overwhelmed not knowing where to start or how to reach my goals, I’ve been a newly postpartum mom feeling like I’m starting at ground zero, I’ve been frustrated and wondered why I wasn’t making progress, I’ve wanted to give up and I even did a few times. If I didn’t go through all of this, I wouldn’t be where I am today, helping hundreds of women reach their health & fitness goals!
